  1. While I am somewhat annoyed with the recent resurrection of this character, I loved Bono’s devil alter ego, Mr. MacPhisto, from U2’s Zoo TV concerts. In fact, while I know it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, I thought the pop culture and media satire stage of U2 during the mid-1990’s was pure genius (i.e. both Zoo TV and PopMart).

  2. I like Hazel from Watership Down.

He speaks up for what is right, yet he is never forceful or disrespectful to others. He speaks the truth plainly and lets others decide if they will believe him.
He doesn’t dominate over those he is leading. He doesn’t see them as beneath himself, rather, he sees them as individuals with their own strengths. He humbly listens to their concerns and ideas and does what is best for them. He is firm, but kind. He doesn’t hold past mistakes against others, he forgives and forgets.
He, knows his limits but, is also willing to put himself in danger to help his friends.

  3. Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. It’s been a while since I saw the movie, but I admired his courage in defending an African American man in court in the segregated South, accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Gregory Peck did a great job as Atticus.
