Facial Hair Or Clean Shaven?

I dated a guy with a mustache once. I got used to how it felt when kissing, but never liked it.
I like the look of facial hair, but would rather not “have a relationship” with someone who has it (either lip- or chin-type) — if you know what I mean.
I’ve had some sort of facial hair since I was in college. I’ve never had just a mustache, but I’ve tried the goatee, a full beard (and a fuller-than-full beard), and for the last last twenty years or so, I’ve had the mutton chops (a sort of reverse goatee). I like that they are distinctive — I don’t know many other people sporting them — and my wife prefers not to be getting a mouth full of whiskers when kissing me.
Much prefer a short beard I can trim every other weekend to having to shave every day!
I’m of two minds on this one. My spouse thinks I look better with a beard and mustache — I do too. But I also think hair carries stress. Right now, I’m going for looks, but who knows in the future.
I like both. My husband grows a full beard in winter, to keep his face warm, then shaves it off in spring. The thing I don’t like is the in between, when it’s sandpapery. Also, after he takes a drink, then kisses me before wiping the moisture off his mustache…..I HATE THAT!
