Are You Addicted To Your Phone?

Do you find yourself using your phone all the time, even when someone else is trying to talk to you? Do you wish you could stop? Or, at least, change your relationship with your phone?

Bonus question: do you think that other people are addicted to their phones?

Share why if you wish.

  1. I am not addicted to my phone, but I am addicted to my laptop. It’s often my portal into news and politics. It plays my favorite music (through headphones I am also addicted to). Sometimes I stream movies, television, or videos with it. It is where I edit and store my photos. I keep my calendar and daily journal on my laptop. And I follow most social media through my laptop.

And, yes, plenty of people I know are addicted to their phones.

  2. I don’t have a phone, but I have an iPad Mini, which serves much of the same purpose. I use it for GPS, texting with my wife, e-mails, etc. The only thing it can’t do is make phone calls.

But I’m not addicted. In fact, my wife often complains that I don’t check it more often.

  3. No one ever calls me. So I don’t always carry it around. When it does ring, I’m usually running around to catch the call before the caller hangs up.
I did get a new phone and I play with that trying to get it set up. But I don’t think that’s an addiction.
