When you listen to music with a guitar, do you prefer that guitar to be an acoustic guitar, or an electric one?

The acoustic guitar is more pure, but the electric guitar can produce so many different sounds!
I lean toward acoustic, but I am in awe of electric!
For me, there are times and places for acoustic guitars–often to hear a toned-down version of a song originally recorded as electric. That said, I love all the sounds that can be made with today’s electric guitars. There seems to me to be a wider range of moods they can bring to music.
I grew up listening to my parents’ early 1960s folk music, so I’ve always had a soft spot for acoustic.
