When I was younger, I was all about the formal. I believed that you would do your best if you felt your best and looked your best. Throughout college, for example, I wore a tie when I went to my classes.
As I’ve gotten older, I realized that looking good and feeling good are not always the same thing. Now I wear whatever makes me comfortable, and most of the time, that is something more casual.
I once got kicked out of a San Francisco restaurant by showing up in a t-shirt. I wear that as a badge of pride.
