My favorite is my mother with a big red hat on and a blue-patterned shirt, taken just a few years before she died. It’s on my wall with photos of the rest of my family, mostly deceased: two aunts, grandparents, father, brother. The only live ones left are my sister and a half-brother, and that’s just because they’re in a group shot.
Other favorites are a wall of photos of my own kids, and an Ansel Addams at Yosemite.
Finally, I have a few of my own photos framed: an outhouse bonfire, a reflective building at Epcot, autumnal trees, a Caribbean customs building, an old barn full of spider webs, and some cool shadow play around an exterior metal fire escape.
