While I go on boats for travel recreation, I must be careful of seasickness. Therefore, planes win.
We usually fly to a bike tour starting point. Don’t want to be stuck on a boat all day (a “three hour tour” once in a while is okay). The exception was a riverboat cruise where all day we’d be on bikes, and just sleep on the boat as it moved to different towns.
