I’m more of a nurturing type, I think. But I don’t have any kids, so it’s not a parenting strategy. I just tend to think people need more understanding and affection than constantly being taught lessons about self-survival.
With that said, I also think it is important for individuals to learn to get by with what is available to them. But I think that can be taught in a kind and thoughtful way.
