Asking — and answering — life's interesting questions

Rather specific answer to this questions, but yesterday came as close to being a perfect day as possible:
— Very early in the morning, I planted my tomato and eggplant seedlings.
— Per usual, Rebecca and I had a good talk, starting the day feeling deep connection.
— I gave some seedlings to a friend with a small raised-bed garden.
— I watched the Minnesota House and Senate pass the Omnibus Housing Budget and Policy bill, which, in addition to appropriating $40 million for homelessness prevention and $100 million to build and rehabilitate affordable housing, designated $425,000 for statewide tenant hotline services.
— It was wonderful to read the notes of celebration from HOME Line staff.
— Senator Clark informed me that Governor Walz signed into law the bill prohibiting landlords from naming minors as lease parties or defendants in eviction actions.
— I ended the day weeding the garden — always a contemplative time — while listening to songs by Waxahatchee, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, Living Colour, Emmylou Harris, Pearl Jam, and many others.
Reflecting on the good things in life helps me carry gratitude forward.
