If I remember correctly, the largest check I’ve written was for the down payment on our house, just shy of $100,000.
The largest check I ever handled (but didn’t actually write) happened when I converted my 401K, and for paperwork reasons I had to transfer the money from one account to another via check. That one was just under a million.
