  1. I suppose when I was younger, I leaned more toward the summer blockbuster. For instance, way back in 1994, on a whim I decided to see every film on a list I saw of the 20 predicted biggest movies of the summer. (The two biggest movies of the year, with almost the same box office gross, were Forrest Gump and The Lion King. Both were on the list, but neither were #1.)

I like a good indie movie, but I suppose even now I gravitate to the big spectacle movies. As an illustration, this summer my wife and I are looking forward to seeing The Odyssey.

  2. For a long time, I haven’t been much of a moviegoer. Instead, I’ve gravitated toward streaming television and films, so I rarely catch the big summer blockbusters. My viewing habits on streaming services have also nudged me toward independent films.

That said, in line with Lee’s answer, I do want to see Odyssey in a theater.
