I think it would be my Roku Television. I got it through Amazon since I was layed up with tendinitis and my other TV stopped working correctly. I paid around $150.00. It is useful for its entertainment value.
Many say that the best purchases are for experiences over things. And so, I think the best money I shelled out in the past six months had to do with my trip to the beautiful city of Copenhagen this past September.
I rented a great room with terrific hosts near the center of Copenhagen. I took a paid tour the day after my arrival to get to know the place before I tried exploring on my own. I spent some fun time with friends from the area — including a great side trip to Sweden. Surprisingly, I discovered, there were great food options for this vegetarian. I loved the transit-oriented feel of the place. The people were incredibly friendly. And, I snapped scores of beautiful photos.
Are you ever going to Copenhagen? I’d love to share more about my trip!
I’d love to go to Copenhagen. I have a soft spot in my heart for the Danes because I read somewhere that when the Nazis made the Jews sew yellow stars on their clothes, the King of Denmark wore the yellow star. I don’t know the whole story, but I’m guessing Jews in Denmark weren’t sent to the gas chambers like they were in other countries. Michael, do you know?
p.s. I found the following on Wikipedia:
“…over 99% of Denmark’s Jewish population survived the Holocaust.”
