I am currently reading “White Fragility” by Robin Diangelo and “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene Brown
Let’s see… I am reading from a daily devotional regarding culture from the 20th century (today’s entry was about Ayn Rand). At the same time, I am reading a non-fiction book about mystery writer Sue Grafton and her literary creation, private detective Kinsey Millhone (“G Is For Grafton”).
I am also making my way through Hugo- and Nebula Award-winning science fiction novel “Ancillary Justice”, by Ann Leckie. Each day I read from the book “Sciencia: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Astronomy for All” which collects six different Wooden Books on various scientific concepts. And just this morning I finished the kids graphic novel “Act” by Kayla Miller.
Earlier this week, I finished reading “Mythos” by Stephen Fry, the first book of a trilogy where Fry retells many of the Greek myths. Also in the last week, I finished a recent issue of the comic book-themed magazine, Back Issue, as well as “The Hoodoodad”, a graphic adventure of character McConey, by author/artist Lewis Trondheim.
My Lady Beloved by Linda Lael Miller. And World Atlas for Young Explorers.
I love spending time looking over an atlas. Are there any interesting or unusual facts you have gleaned?
I was surprised at how many languages, and how many countries still have their own language.
