  1. This is a tough one. In theory, I feel like you should take every chance to celebrate *anything*. Life is worth make a big deal about.

    In addition, everybody is worth celebrating. People are special, and they deserve at least one day a year where that is manifested.

    But over the last few years, I simply don’t feel like celebrating. It doesn’t feel right.

  2. Lee, I agree with your sentiment that we should take the chance to celebrate anything and everybody.

    Regarding everybody, yes, people are special. Birthdays should just be one opportunity each year when someone gets to feel the center of intentional love, appreciation, or connection with family, friends, and colleagues.

  3. I celebrate with my immediate family every year, and happily accept dinners and the like from friends. But I reserve big celebrations for milestones.
