Soda Or Pop?

The choice today is one regarding a regional dialect: when you refer to a carbonated beverage, do you say soda, or pop (or something else altogether)?

Soda Or Pop?

  1. I have a Soda Stream water spritzer, so it’s changed my wording from “pop” to “soda.”

  2. I grew up (in the Midwest) saying pop. After living in Boston for nearly three decades, however, I have transitioned to saying soda.

I haven’t quite picked up the habit of saying ‘bubbler’ instead of ‘water fountain’, though.
