  1. This is an easy answer for me: weed.

Although, come to think of it, I don’t know why. What did the poor dandelion ever do to me to deserve such a label?

  2. Oh, I am so conflicted on this one. Pollinators love dandelions, so it’s a flower, right? And every part of a dandelion is edible; wait, that makes it a vegetable. But it doesn’t look especially pretty–at least as a solo plant (weed), and it thrives in inhospitable conditions (weed). But then again, a bouquet of dandelions or a bunch of them growing in a pot, well, I think that would look pretty fine.

    Conflicted!

  3. I’d say it’s food.
Young dandelion leaves are not only edible but delicious! The roots make an antioxidant rich tea and the blossoms can be made into a fabulous syrup to sweeten iced tea or pour over pancakes.
