Oh my gosh, it’s definitely the 1990s! Here’s just a sampling of albums from that wonderful decade that I still listen to (alphabetically by album title):
U2’s “Achtung, Baby”
Counting Crows’ “August and Everything After”
R.E.M.’s “Automatic for the People”
Cry, Cry, Cry’s self-titled album
Ben Harper’s “Fight for Your Mind”
Sinead O’Connor’s “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got”
Iris Dement’s “Infamous Angel”
Metallica’s self-titled album
Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”
Tom Waits’ “Mule Variations”
The Cranberries’ “No Need to Argue”
Richard Schindell’s “Reunion Hill”
The Fugees’ “The Score”
Everclear’s “So Much for the Afterglow”
Willie Nelson’s “Teatro”
Pearl Jam’s “Ten”
Emmylou Harris’ “Wrecking Ball”
I think my answer would be the 80s. Not coincidentally, that’s the decade of my youth, when I first started really listening to music.
Have you listened to Boygenius? They have a very 90s vibe.
I have, I agree, and I really like the album they put out this year.
