A few years ago, I went down a Sesame Street rabbit hole. I read the excellent ‘Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street’ by Michael Davis; watched DVDs of old Sesame Street episodes; read the biography of Caroll Spinney, ‘The Wisdom of Big Bird (and the Dark Genius of Oscar the Grouch)’; the retrospective ‘Sesame Street: A Celebration — 40 Years of Life on the Street’; listened to several Sesame Street CDs that I own; and read two entries from Jim Henson, ‘Doodling with Jim Henson’ and ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green and other things to consider’.
(There were a few other books in there as well, but I don’t want to get too tedious. What do you mean, “It’s too late”?)
I run my laptop into the ground. And I rely on my camera to take good close-ups and landscape photos. So, when it comes time to purchase new ones, I sweat the variety of options afforded to me. I really obsess about future-proofing.
