Kermit The Frog Or Mickey Mouse?

Is there any doubt? It’s Kermit the Frog has depth — he conveys more than one emotion. He’s totally relatable.
I fully admit that Mickey Mouse is a much more important cultural figure. More people around the world know him, no doubt.
But I’ve never been a big Disney fan (although I realize that now the Muppets are owned by Disney — go figure). I grew up watching Sesame Street and the Muppet Show, so of course I care more about Kermit.
Mickey was for Baby Boomers. Kermit was for Gen-X.
I see Kermit as a successor to Bugs Bunny — not as subversive, but at least Kermit has some depth, as Michael said. Mickey I only know from Sorcerer’s Apprentice where his main characteristic was making a mistake/ignoring instructions and not getting help … In other words, being a bumbling idiot.
