It doesn’t really feel like New Year’s unless I’m in a room full of people performing a countdown at midnight.
While I usually retire to bed at my usual early hour on New Year’s Eve, I am getting together with a friend this year. I doubt I’ll make it until midnight. But I’ll get out of the house and try to stay awake a bit longer.
I’ve never celebrated New Years at parties. Maybe one or twice in 60 years. Tonight will be no different. Just family, and usually asleep before midnight.
