There are many.
The first that comes to mind is porchfest, a day in June when dozens of bands play on porches throughout the down, and people can wander around, listening to one band after another.
There is also a “Town Day” every September, with local businesses and organizations hosting a tent on Main Street, which is shut down for the day from automotive traffic.
Local businesses (like the bookstore I work for!) host a trick-or-treat every Halloween. There is also an ethnic festival celebrating Greek culture (and others, I bet, as well).
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I live in a very active community.
